Monodeluxe is of Italian descent & was born in Lecce Italy & currently residing Basel Switz in metropolitan New York City area.  He was born in 1968 so he was lucky to spend his teenage years with Disco & P-Funk music of the time, getting involved in several music styles of the period. In those days he recognized that his favorite sound was R&B & Funky music rather than pop music etc...

So he grew up with the very best artists such as George Clinton, Sos Band, Fatback etc. Due to these music influences, Monodeluxe’s style is bounded to the very essence of Funk and R&B sounds melted with modern NuJazz and Cool tempo. Monodeluxe takes inputs from the past and turns them into modern sounds trying to make his own sound. His profoundness gets Monodeluxe to be original and to avoid dé jàvu sounds.

In order to reach that, he uses modern music equipment such as complementary instruments to get the aim of it. He hopes to reach people throughout emotions and finger licking grooves. He loves to be Deep and his favourite styles are Deep House & Jazzhouse with some futuristic sound-touch, Nujazz & Nusoul, 70’s Funk and also brazilian nubossa breaks. These are the main elements that he used to work with. Monodeluxe’s main thing is to reach the sound that makes the difference in order to satisfy the audience and his soul too.
